Kawasaki flourished from the Edo era as the "kitchen of Ise," supplying pilgrims on their way to Ise Jingu. Black wooden warehouses still line the Setagawa river. We restored a house here, keeping its Showa-era warmth — rattan chairs, retro floral fusuma doors, soft lamplight — and added modern comforts: a renovated bathroom, fast Wi-Fi, and a gas dryer. It feels like coming home to a Japanese grandmother's house. We hope you rest here like a little bird (kotori) folding its wings.

The street and the parking entrance are very narrow. The largest vehicle that fits is a mid-size minivan (Toyota Noah / Voxy, Honda StepWGN, Nissan Serena class). Large vans (Alphard, Elgrand) and full-size SUVs cannot enter. Photo directions are sent after your booking is confirmed.
